1886-S Morgan Silver Dollar

Mintage of the 1886-S Morgan silver dollar was only 750,000 - a modest amount for that period in Morgan dollar production. It is believed that hundreds of thousands of 1886-S Morgans were melted, with the result that these silver dollars are difficult to find in any condition. Many of the 1886-S issues have found permanent homes in silver dollar collections, for relatively few are available for sale. An impressive piece to own!
